Perfect title, as a mom I could really relate. Smooth flow and the message is filled with bittersweet memories and great faith. Excellent, just excellent.

Viola,
These lines caught my breath:

I ponder what mystery awoke my heart -
and I ponder what mystery knew its breaking.

This to me is why love can be so hard and so frightening as well as so beautiful and embracing. This poem is simply wonderful.

Wishing you peace.

The inner turmol that results in the loss of someone that has been a big part of our life is one that leaves very slowly, a guest who stays to long.
Yet, without it, the memory, there would be total loss and perhaps that would be worse. A good poem of lingering sadness.
