Back Injury
My dear readers,
Update: I am able to move around a little now but I still have an incredible amount of pain that I am dealing with. The breathing, ice and muscle relaxers have really helped. The pain medication has made me very ill and I decided to not take them any longer. I still don’t know if this is a muscle injury or if this is bone related. The most acute pain is in my lower back and my sacroiliac joint. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts!
I have severely injured my back and am hardly able to move at the moment. I have had troubles with my sacroiliac joints for many years and I somehow re-injured them to the point of not being able to walk, sit or lie down. I am in a lot of pain and I will see if I can find some help today, if possible. I would appreciate if you would keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
I will write again as soon as I am able.
Peace,
Viola

With a good rest, I’m sure your body will get rejuvenated. There is a personal healing I do when I have pain in certain area of my body (has even worked when I imaginarily do the same for others).
In a comfortable posture sitting or lying down, breathe out completely. Then focusing on the pain breathe in as if all the air is reaching the pain inflicted area. Do this a few times as long as you can hold your attention.
The logic I attribute to this is: pain is a call for attention by the body (same when it’s with the mind). By giving the attention it deserves we channelise the internal energy towards healing.
Let me know if it helps.

Oh Viola! I certainly hate to hear this! I have a disc issue in my back and that results in a ton of pain. I can only imagine how much more pain you must be in! Do what you need to do, take care of yourself, and see you again soon! My thoughts are with you.

Thank you dear Kal! My husband drove me to a doctor today and just getting in and out of the car was an ordeal. And, you should have seen me get in an out of bed. It took 40 minutes for me to be able to get out this morning. That poor doctor today looked at me with such pity as I kept yelling every time he tried to see if he could help me. I was so embarrassed! Finally, he admitted that I needed to have some muscle relaxers and something to manage my pain before he can help me. I think I injured myself when I was power walking on the Treadmill. My entire left side, starting at the SI joint over to the front hip bone is inflamed. I am hoping that I can get the muscles relaxers soon. On Saturday, I am to go back to see the doctor as he hopes that he can then work with me. My kids are being very understanding and helpful and so is my husband. Thanks for your kind and good thoughts. That means so much to me.

Viola,
So sorry to hear of your pain.
Swami’s idea sounds spot on. Slow, deep breathing while concentrating on the area of pain can help the muscles relax. Get’s more oxygen into the cells. Ice can be helpful for most people. 15 minutes of an ice pack every hour. I’m told it helps clear inflamation. Hoping the muscle relaxants work as intended. May your pain disappear soon.
Rest, put your burdens aside. The world will go on just fine as you take the time to heal.
Prayers and healing thoughts for you.

Dear Jimmy, your kind words always bring a lift to my heart. I am so glad you visit me here. Thank you.
I received the muscle relaxers and pain medication last night but I have not been able to tell the difference yet. Yes, I will do the deep breathing and focusing on that pain. Thank you for your kind advise.
