What A Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
I love Louis Armstrong’s deep gravelly voice. I love his big smile. Watch his facial expressions…they are priceless! As a jazz trumpeter he was one of the best. What an immensely gifted artist he was!
He gained inspiration from the very poor and dysfunctional upbringing he had. “The eyes bring to seeing what they wish to see,” Shelley said. So true!
This clip makes me smile. Very big!

I love that clip, too, Viola. He has a sincere voice. I think the hard times it suggests are part of its beauty.

I think so too, Sandy! I think he is precious! When I look at someone like that, I can’t help but wonder how much freedom he must have found in his art. He did not have an easy childhood and youth and yet, somehow, he made life work for himself.
A German philosopher once said, “Es dauert sehr lange bis man seinen eigenen platz in seinem leben niemed.” “It takes a long time until one takes their own place in ones own life.” I love that and I think it is so true.

How right you are Viola … it does take time for one to fine their own place in ones own life .. sometimes it never happens, but the search is wonderful.

Viola, you always find a way to encourage people. You always find a way to give us something to lift us up with. Thank you for that!

Thanks for this video, Viola. The Satchmo was a man with a gift for lighting up the space around him. This particular song was, seemingly, made for him because he brings such feeling to it. It always brings tears of happiness to my eyes. It is a WONDERFUL WORLD, Oh YEAH!
