Life’s Questions
There is a time that will surely come
When all that has been, will become a question.
A question, not to be answered by the learned
But one to be lived, again and again.
What have I wrought with my life thus far?
Has it been purely to protect myself alone?
Is there a purpose to this life I live,
Or, is life just waves of motions, taking their turn?
Does my touch, or my smile, or anything at all
Have any effect on this vast world?
Do my passions count as I long for keener awareness
For that, Loving Being, far greater still?
Friends will come and friends will go -
While we grow and change along the way.
Do they, as I, just try to find a certain rhythm
That makes some sense to their searching minds?
Quietly, I kneel in surrender
Laying my questions on the altar of my soul.
There, I am met by Wisdom, which is far greater
Than the many questions born out of such limited terrain.

Wisdom creates a beautiful garden in which to contemplate and grow and explore these questions. Lovely, Viola.

The nice thing is that we can explore them as long as we want. I am glad for that! Thank you, Sandy!

Can you imagine Viola, how much less challenging, exciting, mysterious, and fulfilling life would be if we knew the answers?
The mystery and uncertainty of it all is what drives us forward – searching, striving, wondering, and believing there are answers. Occasionly the curtain parts and we glimpse the TRUTH, and those glimpses spur us on renewing our faith. Faith that there are answers, and faith that God knows our souls.

I know you are so right, Jimmy. Sometimes when we wander in a desert place it seems that all other things become futile and many, too many questions arise. Yet, within the deepest recesses of my own heart, I am convinced that it is just another experience, another story, another opportunity to grow. People like you, Jimmy, are an oasis that help make the wandering in the desert a litle easier. Thank you! I am richly blessed to have a friend like you.
