Your Hushed Silence
In Your hushed silence
I kneel quietly in Your holy presence.
Please bent Your ear to my heart
That I may give all that is contained therein,
Into Your private and loving care.
Your hushed silence teaches me to be still.
I find a space of complete peace.
All that seems heavy bows its knees to You;
For it is in your light that the illumination of all things
Bring their rightful place into my awareness.
I am Your servant, Oh God!
Search my heart and know me.
And as I behold Your infinite beauty,
May your hushed silence
Teach me and lead me into Your ways.

Thank you for this beautiful poetical prayer which I will write in my prayer book. It has resounded deeply within me, I just had a beautiful spiritual experience on praying it slowly. I will continue to use it. I have just happened onto your website so I will explore it more. thank you.

One of the loveliest prayers I have read. Thank you. The image of Christ bending down to my heart is so powerful.
