About Me
I was born and raised in Germany until I was 14 years old. I grew up in an orphanage there until my American father found me and brought be to the United States. I have gained many valuable lessons growing up in an orphanage, as well as challenges to be overcome. My hunger for meaning has brought me to a constant place of searching. I have now been married 21 years and am the mother of two very active and beautiful children. I’m in my late 40′s and spiritual reality matters most to me. I admire the qualities of honesty and integrity, and I have a passionate heart to become a loving and kind human being. Therefore, I am most drawn to people with a gentle, kind and loving nature. I am always willing to listen to a wise and insightful person because my search for love, wisdom, truth, and insight is unending.
I have worked with small children for years but have felt a need to grow and expand myself in other areas. Thus, I am a massage therapist now and continue to take advanced courses in this field. I am also taking courses in college to further my education. Some time is spent to help heighten public awareness of the Statue of Responsibility that will be erected on the West Coast. I am a volunteer for the Statue of Responsibility Foundation and I realize that the public at large is still not aware of this project. Everything about this project inspires me and I have an intense passion to see this monument, which Dr. Victor Frankl envisioned, come to fruition.
I am also writing an autobiography because the request has been enormous to do so. It will be a wonderful gift for my children and it will be published soon. I continue to write on this blog for the sheer joy of it and for the creative expressions of my heart.
As I write, I desire that those who have experienced pain will find some comfort and peace. The words which I write come from my heart, birthed from my own brokenness and a continued longing to find greater spiritual awareness. I want to embrace all people and therefore I will not limit my writing here to any religious beliefs or quotations of scriptures. That is a journey each will have to make for themselves. I simply want to share that in and through pain, a full life is still possible. It has been for me.
Because of this view point that I have adopted, I am not so much interested in one particular religion, as I am about true spiritual development and growth. When one is dedicated to God and truth, many schools of thought present themselves. It is interesting to look at a broad spectrum of mankind’s spiritual hunger and search for truth. It is also wise to allow various view points to be considered and to listen with the heart what some of our greatest spiritual teachers have taught us. We have had many such great spiritual teachers among us with much wisdom and insight to share. Jesus still remains the only one in my heart and understanding who came to redeem His people and made a new life possible through the finished work of the cross! My heart bows in honor to that incredible sacrifice and gift!
